You were mentioned on Nationstates.
Everyone came here to check it out.
Half of them came to troll.

That, and you've banned 8/9's of the users, most of them haven't came back.
If you couldn't tell, this forum is rather unpopular because it is worse than Nationstates.
Not that Nationstates is bad. This forum is, though.

If you're going to even think about attempting something as popular as nationstates,
IT NEEDS TO BE DIFFERENT.
That being said, this place has less than nationstates. How do you expect people to come here and actually stay?

Back to the drawing board with you.

For one - rewrite the entire site.
Don't use anything like phpBB, as you cannot add a gameside.

Simply, be innovative, do something nationstates hasn't done - and go further.
For example, a limiting factor for nationstates is not existent - there is nothing stopping anyone from being ultimately powerful, absolutely huge. There is no difficulty curve, not much national management.
Infact, everything in nationstates is pretty much determined by how good you are at role-playing.

If I created a nation game, money would be IMPORTANT. You make money through trade, and taxes. You then spend your money on all things government.
National happiness could be important.
National education could be important.
National defence could be important.
The player could decide what his government finds important. However, I wouldn't make it too gritty like cybernations.
RP would be just as important as the gameside in determining things like power, control etc etc etc.
Also, population growth and death would be much more realistic - if your evil tyrannical government kills 2 million people a day, while only 15
people are being born, then your population would decline until you've eventually destroyed your nation from the inside out.
You can create nation maps ON SITE (Or you could upload your own, but it is regulated by admins) that use traditional map symbols for things like reserved areas, waterways, cities etc.
You could, if you want, create individual city maps which would help with espionage.
Also, I failed to mention this, espionage is also a option in stirring trouble in a nation. Sabotage the national power supply(ies) before invading a nation for running start in a RP invasion.

There is a large number of things I would do, some I may or may not add because of complexity.

This will require large amounts of time and money, seeing as how you are only 13 you could ask your parents if you could rent a monthly server somewhere. Try to find out how you can utilise advertising to keep money rolling in, eventually you'll find coding specialists, artists, moderators...

You wanted to make a better nationstates didn't you?
Here are a few pointers too,
- Don't link posts back to nationstates. I'm talking about the RP Guidelines. You need to put more effort into creating your OWN nationstates, not a copycat from the original nationstates.
- Your game lacks a gameside. I've said this before.
- BAN TROLLS ON SIGHT, THEY WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING AT FREAKING ALL.

Penis is good breakfast turkey.

This guy has it figured out.

I would love to see this site grow, as you remind me a lot of myself. But you gotta make the game unique in order for it to shine. I'd like to help out.

I've given you some ideas.
I do suggest you follow them.

tl;dr
You're offering less than nationstates. If you want more players, offer more. And don't use a free website to do so. Making a nationstates takes time, patience and lots of money.
